My First Job

It will be 365 days since I started my corporate journey, and it has been impressive so far; I did have some experience working in MNCs and had an idea of how they operate.
January brought an adrenaline rush as the mere excitement of working in the same team as my interviewer.

A new city was unfolding an adventure.

Nervously I stepped into the internship. I was meeting my first woman manager, who graciously helped me understand my role and welcomed me. It was surreal to be a part of a team that adds so much value to the organization. Imposter syndrome was creeping inside the cracks of my mind, and a series of research told me that it was usual to feel that, and I deserve to celebrate my accomplishments and move past it.

During my initial days, I realized the importance of a good mentor, how it’s necessary to find yourself that one person who vouches for you and believes in you even when you can’t believe in yourself that you can finish that task. It was a pivotal moment for me as I realized I could push through the difficulties.
Thus I began my journey to understand how software plays a role in real-world problems, how infrastructure is essential, communication, and goal alignment is necessary.

These are an integrated part of any organization which the schools don’t teach.

At the same time, I was learning that being more analytical and less judgmental is the key.
No questions are stupid. Be curious about why.

Thus, I understood that a software developer’s life is not just about making cool features; it’s also writing unit test cases for hours in a stretch and maintaining a clean code.
Possibilities are endless.
With my eyes opening into the world of corporate, I realized the power of networking.

The community will help out; all you need to do is reach out.
